The Svachh feature is what sets this cooker apart: a patented inner lid that catches overflow from inside the cooker before it can spill out from under the main lid, which means no more sticky boil-over mess on your stove when you’re making rice or dal. It’s built with a tri-ply base for even heat distribution and includes a gasket-release system that lets pressure escape in a controlled way if it builds beyond a safe level.

Care Instructions

Detach the Svachh inner lid after every use and wash it thoroughly with soap and warm water. This is where overflow collects, so don’t skip it.
Remove and wash the rubber gasket separately after each use, and dry it fully before reassembling.
Before cooking, lift the weight valve and check that the vent hole underneath is clear; rinse under running water if anything looks blocked.
Use only a soft sponge or cloth on the stainless steel body and inner lid abrasive pads will scratch both surfaces.
Clean the lid rim carefully with a small brush, especially after cooking starchy foods like rice or dal, since residue collects in the gasket groove.
Prestige recommends replacing the gasket every 12 months with regular daily use.

I switched from an old aluminium cooker to this one mainly for health reasons but the Svachh feature turned out to be the bigger benefit in daily life. The spill-proof lid is genuinely impressive I cook dal and rice twice a day and the stove stays completely clean. One thing to note is that you need to be careful to wash the inner lid properly every day since that is where any overflow collects. If you forget it a couple of times it is harder to clean. Once you get into the habit of removing and washing it daily it is no issue at all. Great cooker overall and worth every rupee.

I do all the cooking at home and keeping the kitchen clean matters a lot to me. The Svachh cooker has made a visible difference no more sticky overflow on the stove or the counter. The triply base also means I do not have to keep adjusting the flame to prevent burning. The overall quality is what you expect from Prestige solid build, reliable pressure, good lid mechanism. I use the 5L daily and it has handled everything from dal to mutton without a single issue. Very practical and well thought out product.

I was so tired of cleaning the stove after every time I cooked rice or dal in my old cooker. The starch would overflow and stick and I would spend 10 minutes scrubbing the burner. A friend told me about the Svachh feature and I bought it the same week. First use rice for six people and not a single drop on my stove. I actually stood there waiting for the spill and it never came. The inner lid catches everything. I have told every woman in my building to buy this. Absolute must for anyone who cooks rice daily.
