Product Details

There is a size of frypan that most kitchens are missing not a large everyday pan and not a medium one, but a small, precisely sized vessel for the cooking tasks that happen multiple times a day in an Indian kitchen, and the Stahl Artisan Mikro Frypan 12cm fills that gap perfectly.

At just 12cm, this is India’s answer to the question every home cook eventually asks what do I use for tempering spices, frying a single egg, making a small tadka, toasting a handful of nuts, or warming up a small portion without dirtying a full-sized pan?
Built with Stahl’s triply stainless steel construction three bonded layers including an aluminium core it delivers even heat at this small scale without the hot-spot problem that plagues single-layer small pans.
The stainless steel cooking surface is completely coating-free no non-stick, no PTFE, no PFOA meaning it is completely safe for tempering hot oil, which reaches temperatures that can stress non-stick coatings on small pans.
Works on gas, induction, and electric stoves the small footprint fits comfortably on any burner size and the induction compatibility makes it ideal for induction users who need a small vessel for quick tasks.
The 12cm size makes it the most practical small pan for Indian cooking just the right size for a quick jeera tadka, a single egg sunny side up, a small batch of roasted spices, or warming up leftover gravy for one person.

Once you have a Stahl Mikro in your kitchen, you will reach for it multiple times a day and wonder how you managed without one it is the most used small piece of cookware in any kitchen that owns one.

Features

The Stahl Artisan Mikro Frypan 12cm is a focused, brilliantly practical piece of cookware designed for the small, frequent cooking tasks that a large frypan handles inefficiently and a full-sized pan wastes fuel on.

12cm Precision Size Exactly the right diameter for single-serving tasks tempering spices, frying one egg, making small tadka, toasting dry ingredients, or warming a single portion without wasting heat on unused surface area.
Triply Stainless Steel Construction Three bonded layers with an aluminium core provide even heat distribution at this small scale essential because a 12cm pan with a hot spot is practically unusable for precise cooking tasks.
Coating-Free Stainless Steel Interior No non-stick coating of any kind safe for high-temperature tempering and spice roasting, and free from all coating-related health concerns.
Induction, Gas and Electric Compatible Full stove compatibility in a compact size particularly useful for induction users who need a small vessel for quick tasks without using a large pan.
Ideal for Tempering and Tadka The size and shape are perfect for heating oil and tempering mustard seeds, cumin, curry leaves, and dried chillies a daily task in Indian cooking that deserves a dedicated vessel.
Fuel Efficient A 12cm pan heats up in a fraction of the time and uses a fraction of the gas compared to using a full-sized frypan for small tasks meaningful energy savings for a vessel used multiple times daily.
Easy to Handle The small size and light weight make it the easiest pan in your kitchen to pick up, move, pour from, and clean minimal effort for maximum daily utility.
Non-Reactive Surface Food-grade stainless steel does not react with acidic tempering ingredients like tomatoes, tamarind, or lemon safe and neutral for all flavour profiles.
Easy to Clean The small surface area means cleanup takes under 30 seconds a quick rinse with soap and a soft sponge is all that is needed after most uses.
Stahl’s Build Quality Same construction quality as Stahl’s full-sized cookware no compromise in materials or engineering just because this is the smallest pan in the range.

Care Instructions

The Mikro 12cm is the easiest piece of cookware to maintain on this entire list its small size means cleaning takes under a minute and the uncoated stainless steel surface is highly durable and easy to care for.

Wash After Every Use A quick wash with mild soap and a soft sponge after every use at 12cm this takes under 30 seconds and keeps the surface clean and odour-free between uses.
Cool Before Washing Even a small triply pan holds heat give it a minute to cool before washing to avoid thermal stress on the bonded layers.
Use Soap Freely Unlike cast iron, this stainless steel pan is fully soap-compatible wash thoroughly after every use without any concern about stripping seasoning.
Remove Discolouration with Vinegar Heat discolouration from tempering and high-heat oil use is normal on stainless steel and completely harmless. A brief simmer with diluted white vinegar removes it easily.
Use Adequate Oil for Tempering For tempering tasks, heat the pan to medium, add enough oil to coat the base, and then add your spices. Proper oil coverage prevents sticking and ensures even tempering.
Dry After Washing Wipe dry with a clean cloth after washing at 12cm this takes five seconds and prevents watermarks on the stainless steel finish.
Store in a Drawer or Hanging The Mikro’s small size means it stores easily in any kitchen drawer, hanging rack, or cabinet no space challenges and no rearranging of larger cookware needed.
Handle the Pour Carefully When pouring hot oil or tadka from the Mikro into a dish, use a cloth to hold the handle securely the small pan can get warm at the handle with prolonged high-heat use.
